The Green Light: What CAN Go in Your Dumpster
Roll-off dumpsters are built for heavy-duty debris. Most general household, construction, and remodeling waste is welcome.
- General Household Junk: Toys, clothes, rugs, carpets, plastic storage bins, and general clutter from basement, attic, or garage cleanouts
- Construction & Remodeling Debris: Drywall, wood, framing, subflooring, old cabinets, vanities, and non-asbestos insulation
- Flooring & Tile: Hardwood, laminate, vinyl flooring, and ceramic tiles
- Roofing Materials: Shingles, underlayment, and flashing
The Yellow Light: Materials Allowed Under Certain Conditions or with Extra Fees
- Medical Sharps: Needles, syringes, and lancets are allowed in your dumpster but must be in a sealed container that is taped shut and labeled as “sharps.”
- Yard Waste: Branches, brush, leaves, and organic landscaping material are allowed in your dumpster, but they cannot be mixed with other types of debris.
- Concrete, Brick, Asphalt, Dirt:
These materials are very heavy. If you need to dispose of them, contact us first to make sure you get a dumpster that is rated for their weight. These materials also cannot be mixed with other types of debris.
- Furniture (incurs an $85 fee per item): Whole furniture pieces, mattresses, and box springs
- Electronics and Appliances (incurs an $85 fee per item): TVs, computers, monitors, microwaves, refrigerators, freezers, and A/C units
- Tires (incurs an $85 fee per item)
The Red Light: What CANNOT Go in Your Dumpster
State environmental laws, landfill regulations, and safety rules for our drivers mean certain items are strictly prohibited. Putting these in a roll-off can result in rejected loads or extra disposal penalties.
- Hazardous Materials: Paint, stains, varnishes, solvents, motor oil, fuels, chemicals, aerosols, fluorescent light bulbs, and asbestos (learn how to dispose of hazardous waste)
- Automotive Parts: Car batteries, catalytic converters, and automotive fluids
- Liquids: Hydraulic oil, motor oil, transmission oil, lubricants, and liquids or fluids of any type
- Batteries: Household alkaline batteries, lithium batteries, and car/machinery lead-acid batteries
- Flammable Waste: Gasoline, propane tanks, and charcoal lighter fluid

- Mind the Fill Line: Never heap materials above the top wall or marked fill line. Drivers cannot legally or safely tarp a dangerously overfilled or towering load.
